Process of Ordering Work
Thank you for your interest in ordering a painting. The process that I use for commissions are as follows:First, the client picks the subject and the size of the painting. These two factors will determine the price. Framing and shipping options will be discussed as well during this phase of ordering a painting. Once that is done then I collect reference. This can be done in a few different ways:
- Images can be emailed to me of which I can design and create a painting from. (juliejeppsenart@gmail.com)
- Depending on location, I can do a photo-shoot of the subject matter and collect my own reference.
- I can refer to my archives for reference if the subject matter is not specific to the client.
Second, I do the design work. This consists of piecing together a design that I feel will make the subject matter look the best. Once this design is done and sent to the client for approval, then I require half down. This holds the painting.
Third is the finishing process. I finish the painting and send images to the client for final approval. If any changes are needed then I make those changes and get the painting exactly how the client wants. Once I get final approval I require the rest of the payment. A purchase agreement form will be sent for documentation of purchase. Once finale payment arrives and clears, the painting is sent to the location the client chooses. Shipping and framing is the responsibility of the client.
